So thanks to Sandy Merrill I have been officially tagged for the first time. Woot... Eight things about me:
1. I absolutely refuse to dress up for any occasion-Halloween, costume parties (ugly sweater parties, 80s parties, etc.) I hate it. I won't do it. Don't ask. You'll just be wasting your breath.
2. I hate feet-touch mine all you want but do not put your feet (bare or socked) anywhere on or near me.
3. I am extremely claustrophobic-as soon as I can't move my arms or I feel like I have lost physical control of myself I start screaming "I can't breathe". If I don't regain control soon, I will start hyperventilating. There are even some movies that I have watched where I will have to remind myself that I am in a large room with plenty of air and that I can freely move my arms.
4. I love red onions. I love them and I have eaten a couple of rings raw before. I really like onions in general, but if you want to please me, red onions are the way to go. I love them in salads, eggs, stir fry, on sandwiches, etc. I really enjoy chopping the onions myself because then the scent stays on my fingers for a while. The only downside is waking up with onion breath the next morning.
5. I am 21 1/2 years old (22 in July!) and I sleep with a blanket every night. It has been camping (Island Park, Palisades, Grand Canyon, Tetons, anywhere I have been camping since eighth grade), it has been to Spain and New Zealand, it has been on cruise ships, it's been to Alaska and California, and I think you are getting the point. It will continue to go everywhere with me until all that is left are scraps of fabric. (Future Honey, be warned!)
6. I'm not ticklish. If I squirm when touched in the rib area, it is solely because I am uncomfortable and not because I am getting tickled. I have been told that I will not find a man for this very reason-"Guys like to tickle girls into their arms..."
7. I pee at least three times before I actually go to sleep each night. Nope, it's not because I am pregnant. It is because I have a completely ridiculous fear of wetting the bed. It doesn't matter how comfortable I am; if I even get the slightest pee sensation, it's one more trip to the bathroom for me.
8. I love wooting. Extremely exciting moments deserve the triple woot: woot, woot! woot, woot! woot, woot! (In order to perform the woot correctly, it must be done in a high, falsetto range) In exciting moments, one set of woots is enough: woot, woot! And in moments where I don't know quite what to say, just one single woot that kind of trails off: woot...
I really don't the rules for tagging people so I am just going to tag Colette and Heather and Julie.

Vantage Point and Cell Phone Roulette
I went and saw Vantage Point yesterday with my friend, Heather (we went to Spain together). I enjoyed the movie. It was nice to see Dennis Quaid in a movie again. It was an action packed film and it took place in my Salamanca (where I spent six weeks of my life two years ago) at Plaza Mayor (where we met up every night as a group to hang out together). I heard it was actually filmed at a replica in Mexico but it was still exciting to see my cathedral on the big screen. Would I see it in theatres again? Probably not. Would I recommend that other people see it in theatres? Yes, if you enjoy a good action movie. But I think it is one definitely worth watching when it comes out on video. Is it one I will own? Probably not unless someone bought it for me.
After the movie we met a group of girls for a delicious dinner at Firehouse. Heather (a friend from Spain), her roommate, Heidi, and myself went back to their house to play a little Cell Phone Roulette.
What is this game you ask? We deal out a deck of cards and each player flips one card over at a time. Whoever flips over the queen of diamonds must then take out their cell phone, prepare a generic text such as "Hey, how are you?" or the popular one last night "What's up buttercup?" The player must then surrender her phone to someone else who then scrolls through the phone book. The owner of the phone chooses when the scrolling ends but doesn't get to see who it lands on. The text is sent to the unknown receiver. The owner of the phone doesn't get to see who the text was sent to until the receiver either texts back or the game ends.
We agreed on playing seven rounds. After seven rounds, I hadn't sent out one message. Heidi had sent out four and Heather had sent out three. They both agreed I needed to get hit so we played until I got hit. After 11 rounds, I was hit once. My text got sent to a boy named Edgar, from Nigeria, who I met four years ago and haven't seen or talked to for two. He didn't respond; but Heather and Heidi got a kick outta that one.
We then played an exciting game of Scattergories which I lost. I just wasn't on my game last night. I had played on Friday night with Colette and my old roommate Colleen and I won. But last night was no bueno.

This is Me
The story behind the title: I am currently the only member of the Dan Hatch family that attends Utah State in Logan, UT. My freshman and sophomore years I enjoyed the company of Justin, Ashley (my sister-in-law), Kim, and Chris (my brother-in-law) before they all graduated and moved away. I flew solo for two years. Now that Clark has decided to follow in the footsteps of my parents and attend BYU, it looks as though I will continue to fly solo. I will finish school and graduate all by my lonesome; therefore, I am the Lone Loganer.
